Detroit Public Theater Paradise Blue
Written by Detroit’s very own Dominique Morisseau, Paradise Blue takes place during 1949 in the Detroit neighborhood known as Black Bottom. The play pays tribute to the neighborhood and sheds light on gentrification through the eyes of the main character, Blue: a brilliant jazz musician who’s town between remaining in Black Bottom or leaving behind his past demons.
Made for the spirited and inquisitive, the creative and those who seek personal experiences. We created a campaign for the Detroit Public Theatre’s new play: Paradise Blue. The campaign focuses on drawing people into the very essence of theatre that mesmerizes, compels, and inspires. Because theatre is analog ,it’s drama that’s playing out in front of you without a rewind and pause because it will never happen the same way twice.
